Evie Lyzenga, Administrative Assistant at the Allegan District Library in Michigan has been sending direct mail through Click2Mail for the past four years. Here’s an edited version of what she told us about her experience with Click2Mail:
Before coming to work at the library I worked for a large manufacturer in the marketing services department. I was responsible for doing the bulk direct mailings. When we discovered Click2Mail it was still part of the U.S. Postal Service. It seemed like a perfect tool to make mailing easier – and it was.
In 2009, I took a new job at the Allegan District Library. The director there was looking for a way to reach out to new library card members and naturally I thought of Click2Mail. Now we send a postcard each month to everyone who has signed up for a new library card the month before. People have told board members they feel more connected to the library as a result of getting this mailing. How could you not when you receive such a “professionally done” postcard!
When I heard that Click2Mail would be offering free mobile websites to non-profits, I was really excited. We have a Facebook page and website, but we've been looking for a service like this as another way to reach our customers. With the new mobile website (http://alleganlibrary.eone.mobi/home), we can now add a QR code to our monthly postcards (all seamlessly integrated through Click2Mail), website, Facebook and other printed materials. That way our customers can use their smartphones to get the latest library news and other information.
