When many people hear the words “mailing list” all they see are dollar signs – and lots of them. Yet in reality, a mailing list is typically much less expensive than people think. Variable data printing (think of like a sophisticated version of Mail Merge) allows you to personalize each mailer for the person you’re sending it to. You can personalize the mailer in a variety of different ways, and get as personal as the detail of your mailing list will allow. For example, instead of sending a postcard that reads “Happy Birthday” to your mail recipients, you could send “Happy Birthday this June 24th, Mary”. That kind of personalized mailer is far more engaging, which means it’s far more effective. It makes your mail more likely to succeed and goes a long way toward building a relationship with your customers.
