As Easy As Clicking “Print” - Click2Mail Introduces MailJack™
In mid-August Click2Mail will introduce a new service, MailJack™, which makes printing and mailing through Click2Mail as easy as clicking “Print.” MailJack™ is the exciting result of our new partnership with Posta Pronta. The service allows you to send print files of your documents from your PC directly to Click2Mail for printing and mailing, all with just a click of the “Print” button.
To get started, your first step is to log in to your Click2Mail.com account. If you don’t already have a Click2Mail account, you’ll have to create one. Then, download and install the MailJack™ printer driver. You’re now ready to print to MailJack™!
You can print from almost any PC software program – a word processing program, bookkeeping program, presentation program, spreadsheet program, desktop publishing program, etc. You can even print documents from your email program, Internet browser, and Adobe Acrobat Reader (for PDFs). Select File > Print then select “Click2Mail MailJack” as your printer. You will also receive all of the valuable address standardization and barcoding benefits of our online service, at no additional cost.
You can use MailJack™ to mail three types of documents:
1. A one-page or multi-page document with one or more recipient names/addresses. For example, five 2-page QuickBooks invoices, each with a different recipient name/address. Or fifty 6-page Word letters, each with a different recipient name/address. MailJack™ automatically recognizes each recipient name/address in your document, separates each address line into fields the USPS automated processing system understands, and divides each page or set of pages for insertion into their own envelopes. We print the pages as you laid them out in your software program and insert them into a window envelope. Your return name/address and the recipient name/address are printed on the back of the last page so they show through the envelope windows.
2. A one-page or multi-page document without recipient name/address included. If you don’t include a recipient name/address in your document, we’ll print and mail one document to one recipient. For example, one 20-page PowerPoint presentation, to be sent to one recipient name/address. Or one 45-page PDF printed from Adobe Acrobat Reader, to be sent to one recipient name/address. In this case, once you’ve selected “Click2Mail MailJack” as your printer and clicked “Print” you’ll need to then click “Add Recipient” and tell us the name and address where you want the document sent. We print the pages as you laid them out in your software program and insert them in a window envelope. Your return name/address and the recipient name/address are printed on the back of the last page so they show through the envelope windows.
3. Multiple documents in one envelope (mailed to one name/address). For example, thirty-five 1-page Word letters combined with one 20-page product catalog created in Adobe InDesign plus a single-page order form created in QuarkXPress. Though all three sets of documents will be mailed in one envelope, MailJack™ does allow you to include recipient names/addresses on some of the documents (the letters, for example) and not others.
In essence, MailJack™ gives you the same kind of flexibility you get when you’re printing and mailing your documents yourself. But because you’re printing and mailing through Click2Mail, you get our price discounts, and avoid the headache of managing print and mail jobs.
Why MailJack™ is great – and how you can use it
That’s what other MailJack™ customers have found. For example, one consulting firm uses MailJack™ to send monthly invoices to all of its clients. Instead of pulling a staff member away from his or her job for a day to print the invoices and the envelopes, fold the invoices, stuff them into the envelopes, and seal and stamp the envelopes, the firm’s bookkeeper simply creates the invoice in QuickBooks, clicks “Print” to “Click2Mail MailJack” and lets us handle the rest.
Or, as another example, a real estate agent uses MailJack™ to send her monthly stay-in-touch letters to prospective clients, past clients, and potential referral sources. She sends about 150 per month, and was spending close to $300 between the cost of printer cartridges, paper and envelopes, a First Class stamp, and the time it took her to print, stuff, and mail. Now, she simply writes her letters in Word with recipient names/addresses mail merged, clicks “Print” to “Click2Mail MailJack” and lets us handle the rest. She saves time, and money.
There’s no cost or obligation to download the print driver. Then you can give it a test drive with your next mailing. It’s a flexible tool that makes printing and mailing as easy as clicking “Print.”
